Katie Gwilt is very lovely lady who is very passionate about cats, their welfare and their wellbeing. 

Katie is friendly, polite and extremely patient (particularly with the cats).  She is hard working, punctual and attentive to the small details. 

Katie has worked confidently with cats of different ages, breeds, coats and temperaments, achieving and demonstrating excellent Master Cat Grooming Level skills.

I would highly recommend Katie and her mobile cat grooming business “The Kat Lady”.

I cannot praise highly enough, my elderly cat desperately needed de-matting and his claws clipped urgently, she was genuinely concerned and gave up her day off to visit and help our elderly cat, in fact she went above any beyond by checking our 2 other cats, de-matting one of them too as well as giving us valuable advice! I would definitely recommend and use her services again, fantastic!! Her care and compassion for our cats was genuine, it is clear how much she adores cats.

We contacted Katie for help with our 17 year old long hair tabby. He has never had a problem grooming himself until recently when the stress of a house move meant his fur began to get matted and was affecting his movement. We were unable to groom him ourselves as he would not cooperate!
I can’t believe Katie managed to groom Claude without too much trouble and quickly sorted all his matted fur. Claude doesn’t like much attention so the fact she kept him calm and completed the job was a reflection of how good she is. She talked to him all the time and stopped now and again to let him relax. The whole thing was less stressful for Claude and myself than I expected and he is now moving freely with no issues. Despite being a little vocal during the treatment Claude was happy to be petted and purred happily for Katie to show he knew she was trying to help. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Professional, calm and a serious cat lover!

Katie called out today to see our Calico cat, Daisy, whose fur had begun to pelt in places. Daisy (a rescue cat) was quite anxious about the procedure but Katie couldn't have been better with her. Very experienced and calming, knew exactly what she was doing. When the grooming was finished she even provided Daisy with some chamomile herbs which really seemed to settle her down. Would highly recommend Katie's services.

My Daughter and I were very anxious as our cat Jess can be vicious with her claws and we had tried unsuccessfully to trim them only to be clawed to bits, Katie arrived and we were both holding our breath, went straight to Jess who was asleep on couch and within seconds one paw done, Katie was amazing and all done in minutes, She is purely Magic and we can’t thank you enough, Jess is now purring away happily.

Katie is a natural with cats as she instinctively knew how to keep Molly calm whilst she was clipping the cats claws and grooming matted her fur. Katie also gave me tips on how to brush long haired cats, cleaning their ears/eyes and the correct way to hold a cat. Molly made a new friend in Katie and she looks forward to seeing her again soon.

We have a disabled rescue cat who, because he's either been in an accident whilst on the streets or has been badly abused, prior to rescue, has trust issues. Because of his disability we have to be careful how he's handled. We were worried the Vet would have to sedate him and also how we'd transport him. We phoned Katie desperately hoping she could help. She was excellent. She was on time, didn't overcharge and managed him perfectly. Can't recommend highly enough! She's an absolute star! I was crying with relief.

I was let down twice by another cat groomer and this ended up being a blessing in disguise as it was then that I spoke to Katie with regards to cutting my 19 year old long haired cats fur, she had a lot of knots on her belly and pelting on her back.  Katie was very professional at every stage from the initial phone call and advice to her turning up for the appointment following all current covid guidance. She made my cat feel very comfortable, playing music and reassuring her at all times.  Katie gave her a Lion cut and also clipped her claws beforehand, cleaning her eyes and ears afterwards. I cannot stress how stunning the cut was that she did. Highly recommended.

My Grooming session with Katlady. 

Was an anxious few hours waiting for Katie to arrive, I wasn't too sure on how my rag dolls Pure & Angel would respond to being groomed for the 1st time and whether Katy could manage their behaviour which normally resulted in their refusal to co-operate despite my attempts.   

After providing some details and Katy assuring me that she would come wearing full PPE due to COVID-19 she arrived in a timely manner and got straight to work with an air of confidence and re-assurance....90 mins later both of my babies had been fully groomed inc claws clipped, sanitary trim, ear/eyes cleaned.  

Before the session she advised me of her working methods and advised that it was quite normal for the cats to become quite vocal so not to be alarmed. 

Katie did a fabulous job and happy to share her knowledge and expertise answering any questions that I had.

This session hadn't been the easiest for her as Angel was frightened and had become distressed however Katie had the equipment to reduce her anxiety as much as possible and took it all in her stride.

The grooming area was cleaned and disinfected fully before she left and I was also pleasantly surprised at the fair/reasonable cost for her services.

I will be recommending Katie to my cat loving friends and will most definitely ask of her services once again.
