Complementary Animal Therapy zoopharmacognosy or botanical self selection is a holistic way of working with your feline friend and aromatic botanical remedies (mainly dried herbs, hydrosols, essential oils, macerated oils, nutrition and some behaviour and environmental factors). It uses Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Meridians (energy channels in the body) to work with any issues your cat is exhibiting including physical, behavioural etc. Works alongside Western medicine really nicely and considers current health, history, lifestyle, diet/nutrition and the cats environment.

Energy healing for cats and their guardians (their humans) involves taking a detailed history of the cat and then a full work through of the 7 chakras (energy centres) as well as the full body. I also offer this therapy for humans who share their lives with cats and it can be a really relaxing, healing experience for both. For humans this can be done sitting in a chair or lying down, whatever is easiest for you. For the cats it can be done hands off or near the body depending on the cats preferences. A really lovely way to connect you and your cat and communication can come up at times also. Think of it a little like a massage for you and your cats energy centres that also includes a look at nutrition, the cats environment and bereavement/end of life care as required.
